Pat Bell Updates the Mining Task Force
I am frequently asked, “What has happened to the report of the Mining Task Force?”

The most recent (September 2004) B.C.’s Mining Update report, issued by Minister of State for Mining, Pat Bell, give you a progress report, under the column heading titled “From the Desk of Pat Bell.”

The Mining Plan promised by Minister Richard Neufeld at Roundup about eight months ago has been in active preparation, with guidance by Pat, ADM Geoff Freer, senior MEM officials Linda Stuart and Fred Hermann, and others. I have not yet read it, but will have an opportunity to do so shortly.

So, in sum, Victoria has not forgotten about the good advice that industry and the Caucus Task Force on Mining worked so hard to achieve.
