Spirit Square for North Vancouver |
|
North Vancouver City will soon have a wonderful Library/Civic Square, courtesy of the provincial taxpayer. I joined North Vancouver MLA Katherine Whittred for the announcement of provincial funding recently.
The City of North Vancouver is receiving $500,000 from the province to help create an open air gathering place at the Library/Civic Centre now under construction. The new Spirit Square will feature a wireless café terrace, market promenade, amphitheatre, Promontory & Tree of Knowledge Reading Rooms. The square will include a water feature expressing First Nations values and a glass wall projection of the city's history. Mayors Darrell Mussatto of North Vancouver City and Richard Walton of North Vancouver District were also on hand for the announcement. [top] |
